Bootcamp 1: This half day workshop, hosted by Access Data will provide a hands-on introduction to digital forensics with the tools that are in common use by law enforcement and government agencies (such as the Access Data Forensics Tool Kit). The morning session will focus on Windows Vista forensics. Participants will also receive information on the Access Data academic program, and ideas of how to integrate the use of such tools in their curricula. |
Bootcamp 2: Introduction to Intellectual Property Law. This half day workshop will be presented by M. E. Kabay, PhD, CISSP-ISSMP from Norwich University's School of Business and Management. Information assurance (IA) professionals need to keep intellectual property (IP) in mind as they concentrate on protecting information. This bootcamp introduces the fundamentals of IP law from an IA practitioner's perspective. Topics include: Introduction to Intellectual Property, Patents, Trade Secrets, Copyright, Fair Use Doctrine, Programs and Digital Media, Copyright and the Internet, Trademarks and the DNS, and International Agreements on IP. |
Bootcamp 3: This half day workshop will provide a hands-on introduction to the application of virtualization to information assurance education, including the tools that are currently available (like the VMware products), the configuration and management of virtual environments, and the development and deployment of exercises. |
